One of my favorite things to do in Branson during winter is visit Silver Dollar City. The entire park becomes an engaging showcase for An Old Time Christmas. Amidst the glow of over five million lights, combined with holiday decorations and a dash of merriment, families can make memories that will last a lifetime. Take in the multi-colored, synchronous light display known as Christmas on Main Street. A five-story Christmas Tree, located in The Square, sparkles and dances in unison to special effects set to music like “Carol of the Bells,” “Joy to the World,” and “Sleigh Ride." You can shop at more than two dozen unique shops including Jingle Bell Junction, located in the Frisco Barn, showcasing 80 themed trees and a variety of Christmas décor. Be sure to make time for Silver Dollar City Christmas shows. Two of the top shows to see are It’s a Wonderful Life and A Dickens’ Christmas Carol. Both are engaging productions made even better by a talented cast, thematic music and authentic costumes and set designs.Once you’ve spent time at Old Time Christmas, head over to the Titanic Museum. The Branson attraction is decorated in Edwardian-style holiday decorations, creating a celebration of titanic proportions. Ensconce yourself in the beautiful displays, which feature thousands of holiday lights, costumed merry-makers and a Gift Shoppe brimming with one-of-a-kind selections.
See even more holiday light displays at the Branson Area Festival of Lights and Shepherd of the Hills' Trail of Lights. Both are affordable drive-through light displays enhancing the beauty of the holiday season. When you travel through the Trail of Lights a trip to the top of Inspiration Tower is also included, providing a birds-eye-view of Branson at night.Of course, you can’t visit Branson during winter without going to Branson Christmas shows. Family-fun is served up at Dixie Stampede Christmas, while the true reason for the season is showcased at Miracle of Christmas. Want to enjoy a country Christmas? Get tickets to Christmas on the Trail or the Hughes Brothers Christmas show. Christmas in Wonderland, the Shoji Tabuchi Show and Andy Williams Christmas Variety Show are three other top productions, infusing song and dance with holiday classics for a night of entertainment.
Come see why Branson, Missouri is one of the top holiday destinations in America.
